A social drama set in a rehab community for under-aged that are at risk, out in the suburbs in Portici. I Cinghiali di Portici (“The Hogs of Portici”) is the story of a group of young people engaged in a rugby tournament, a sport that none of them have ever practised. In a place surrounded by the constant noise of the sea and of trains abruptly passing by the group practices, argues, and carries on their daily routine. The chief in charge has chosen sports to keep the group together and to pass on a dream for them, that of a different life than the one they seem sentenced to. The film was presented at the Torino Film Festival 2003.
