For the past ten years, Catalonian playwright Esteve Soler has been among the most translated and “staged” in the world.
This first Trilogy is in compliance with Becket, Ionesco, and other lessons of theatre. In a surreal drama, disturbing and grotesque, but also filled with pietas, a human and social transformation occurs; a change in politics and media that we are witnessing live on our own skins, perhaps without noticing, during this peculiar epoch. The writing in this artwork, on the other hand, is very well aware, and brings the focus on the subject in 21 single acts, of which the Trilogy is made up of.
