For the second year of the triennial project set forth by Lithuanian director Eimuntas Nekrosius, a workshop will be held reaching out to professionals that are between the ages of 23 and 36; The activity is based on different theatre texts, and in particular on Shakespeare’s Richard II.
The work carried out together will aim at understanding the importance of individual interpretation, and on how to reveal the true ‘modern’ identity of a text that is still capable of speaking to us through it’s very relevant themes. It is an attempt to gain a new ability: to confront political issues and point out all the necessary ‘strategies’ for a contemporary staging.
