With elements borrowed from sign language and native American mythology, the “physical theatre” launched by Gilles Coullet aims at connecting the smiles, irony and violence in our lives.
Wakan – la terra divorata is an anthem to our shared ancestral memory.
Through body work and movements, the show is trying to pass on to audiences the intimate bind that links each one of us to the world, dedicating special attention to the relation between man and the habitat in which he lives; an attempt to leave a mark, perhaps on the skin or at least remind us that we have one, with respect to all forms of life.
