BRODSKY/BARYSHNOKOV is a “one-man show” based on the poems by Literature Nobel Prize winner Joseph Brodsky, and performed by Mikhail Baryshnikov. Conceived and directed by Alvis Hermanis – renowned Latvian director of the New Riga Theatre, that has always stated the great influence that the Russian poet has had on his artistic path – BRODSKY/BARYSHNIKOV is a touching journey deep in the complex meanderings of the poet’s compositions. The show will be in Russian language, Brodsky’s mothertounge, and interpreted by Baryshnikov, who will present a selection of moving and very eloquent works from his old time friend.
